Our Story
The story of Mt. Kenya Hiking & Safaris begins on the slopes of Mount Kenya. There, our founder, Kimani, was inspired by the rich traditions of the Kikuyu and Meru communities. His passion for the mountain grew from early experiences accompanying herders and farmers. He volunteered as a porter. Over time, he became a lead mountain guide. He earned the trust of both climbers and the mountain itself.
Recognizing that travelers sought not just summits but a deeper understanding of Kenya, Kimani founded Mt. Kenya Hiking & Safaris. This company aims to share the diverse treasures of Kenya, from the Maasai Mara to Samburu and Aberdare hikes.
